Bio

Atelier Burano is a publisher and graphic studio founded by Pablo Rugiero in 2015, operating between Buenos Aires and Berlin. Specializing in art books and limited edition prints, its work focuses on contemporary graphic art, exploring the boundaries of the printed image.

Atelier Burano emphasizes the material conditions inherent to the production of printed objects, seeking to generate a visual experience that extends beyond conventional publications. Each project is developed as a carefully crafted system, where all elements are defined from the outset, situating the work at the intersection of traditional printmaking techniques and contemporary art practices. The practice has developed a methodology in which each edition responds to its own conceptual and material conditions.

Publishing is understood as a framework for selecting, organizing, and articulating images — a way of constructing meaning through sequence, form, and reproduction. In this sense, the work engages with its context, producing graphic objects that retain a relationship with cultural memory while reflecting a specific way of seeing, processing, and interpreting reality.
